Last year, after joining the Philadelphia Eagles, Vince Young called his new team, "The Dream Team."
The Eagles didn't live up to those expectations, but this year the name "The Green Team" is more appropriate than ever, and not just because of that's the color of their uniforms.
Team officials along with NRG officials announced a new agreement to partner up in making Lincoln Financial Field a place for clean power and green energy. In fact, they're hoping it will be one of the greenest sports facilities in the world.
Plans include using more than 11,000 solar panels and a capacity of three megawatts. Panels in the parking lot will also generate the bulk of green energy to help the stadium run year around.
Up to 14 wind turbines will be located on the north and south sides of the stadium along the top and will no block the view for the fans.
Providers for NRG include Green Mountain Energy, Energy-serve and Green Mountain Energy.
